Microwave technology
Microwaves (2,45 GHz) are employed as excitation for low pressureplasmas. The advantages are the low price and the high efficiency inetching and polymerisation process. The disadvantages are the need forcomplicated wiring, high voltages, the restriction to glass recipientsand the bad homogeneity.
