	Sticking PE As PE lacks any functional group for the attachment of an adhesive’sbinder, untreated PE surfaces can not be joined by usual adhesives.However, a plasma treatment, in particular with oxygen, allows thegeneration of functional groups (e. g. keto and carboxylato groups) onthe PE surface, thus providing a stable connection with most adhesives.
